Golmaal Again Box-Office Collection, Day 2: Ajay Devgn & Parineeti Chopra Starrer On a Record-Breaking Spree, Collects Rs 28.50 Crore
Golmaal Again is turning out to be a sheer firecracker at the box-office. Second day collections of the film are out and producers are laughing all the way to the bank…
Rohit Shetty’s commercial
potboiler has grossed Rs 28.50 crore net, on its second day, taking total
collections to Rs 58 crore. The multi-starrer had churned approximately Rs
33 crore on the first day of its release.
With overwhelming collections on Saturday, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty’s Diwali bonanza has
become the highest opener of 2017, beating the likes of Salman’s Tubelight,
Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Harry Met Sejal and Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
The occupancy across India, over the first two days was on par with the Hindi
version of Bahubali - The Conclusion.
A Still From Golmaal Again
Interestingly, Golmaal Again shares the Diwali
weekend with Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar which is going steady on day 3 at
the box-office.
While masses are enjoying the out-and-out comedy
drama, all critics have not been so kind. Author and SpotboyE.com’s film
critic Khalid Mohamed gave only the film only 1.5 stars.
The film that stars Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar
Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, Prakash Raj and Neil Nitin Mukesh is the
fourth installment of the successful Golmaal film franchise and marks Devgn's
tenth film collaboration with Rohit Shetty.
